Problem
Specific objectives have been formulated in the climate agreement for the built environment (homes and commercial buildings). For example, the desire is to make as many as 50,000 existing homes per year more sustainable from 2021. The target for 2030 is even 200,000 per year! Essent believes in a gradual transition, in which everyone can participate at their own pace and in their own way. No solution in the market offered a full end-to-end service that helps home owners to convert their property from advise to implementation and navigate them through all the steps into making their home sustainable.   

Solution
To solve the problem the combination of technology, publicly available data and understanding what the users needs the Home Scan from Essent came to existence. This scan is solving the problem of home owners navigating in a unknown territory to convert their property with ease by offering a end-to-end digital and personal service from advice to installation and after care, based on their own specific personal situation and preferences by Essent and their service operators. The challenge was to use exciting data-models for the calculations and combing this to present a logical user flow.
